11 Laamu Atoll Schools – Maldives

REM was subcontractor for the French company, Enviroearth to carry out the following works for United Nations lead programme, Low Emission Climate Resilient Development (LECReD), implemented in Laamu Atoll, Maldives. REM carried out the local transport, logistics, installation, testing, commission and training for the solar installations in 11 schools of 11 islands in Laamu Atoll. They are: Fonadhoo, Maavah, Gan, Hithadhoo, Isdhoo, Isdhookalaidhoo, Maamendhoo, Dhanbidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Kunahandhoo and Mundhoo. Training on maintenance, trouble shooting and monitoring were provided to selected staff of each school and island power distributor FENAKA. Project period – August 2016 to December 2016
